Huipil Bag - Small Half Moon Joyabaj Brown 9
This is a huipil bag from the Mayan village of Joyabaj in Guatemala. The back of the bag is handwoven in a primitive ikat design from part of a corte or skirt with a couple of thin lines of metallic silver thread. The separate pocket in the front, framed by what would have been the collar of the huipil, has a little frayed decorative thread on the edge of the pocket but this is a sign of wear and does not affect the actual fabric. Size 9 1/2" x 10 "
