Huipil Bag - Small Half Moon Patzun Flowers 6 ***SOLD***
This bag was made by the Mayans, recycled out of the beautiful hand-woven and embroidered traditional clothing known as huipils. Each village has a unique style of embroidery. Patzun has a very distinctive style with embroidered flowers usually done on a handwoven deep red cotton with a many colored stripe. The women take great pride in their individual flower designs. The bag comes with a tag explaining it's origin and the town that it's from. Size 9" x 9 1/2" not including fringe, it has an outside pocket formed by the neck of the huipil and a few metallic gold threads embroidered in the center of the flowers.
