Huipil Cushion - Violets on White Damask ***SOLD***
This throw-pillow cover is made from a Mayan woman's huipil, or blouse. It is embroidered on white damask with circles of violets around the the center which would have been the collar of the shirt. The fabric on the back of the pillow is made from a traditional skirt or corte. This one is black with white plaid and a decorative randa or embroidered strip. The pillow comes with an insert (not shown here) and a tag explaining it's origin. This pillow is one-of-a-kind. When it's gone, it's gone.
