Round Huipil Pillow - Purple Flowers on Velvet

This is a wonderful round pillow cover made from a Mayan woman's huipil, or blouse. It is machine embroidered freehand on black velvet with circles of flowers around the the center which would have been the collar of the shirt. The fabric on the back of the pillow is made from a traditional skirt or corte handwoven in an intricate ikat patern The pillow comes with a tag explaining it's origin. This pillow is one-of-a-kind. When it's gone, it's gone. Size 20 1/2", zippered on the back for an 18" or 19" insert.
