Our beautiful silk scarves and shawls are woven in northern India by small independent craftsmen in silk weaving villages and co-ops. The area of Varanasi where these are made is renowned for the quality of its silk weaving but has suffered in recent years by a decline in demand for the fine sari silks they are known for. Branching out into other products like these scarves has given them new opportunities.
