Huipil Bag - Large Half Moon Joyabaj Black 7 ***SOLD***

This is a huipil bag from the Mayan village of Joyabaj in Guatemala. The back of the bag is handwoven in a primitive ikat design from part of a corte or skirt. The separate pocket in the front is framed by what would have been the collar of the huipil.
The black fabric in this bag is woven with a very, very subtle pin stripe in deep red and green.
