Huipil Bag - Med Half Round Zunil Animals 2 ***SOLD***
This bag was made by the Mayans, recycled out of the beautiful hand-woven and embroidered traditional clothing known as huipils. Each village has a unique style of embroidery. comes with a tag explaining it's origin and the town that it's from. It's one-of-a-kind. When it's gone, it's gone. This one is from the town of Zunil. It's an interesting heavy woven bag with machine embroidered animals, neckline pocket in the front. There s a little orange overstitching on the center front and on the back which would have been an original mend. The two white doves at the center top are an unusual touch. Size 12" x10 1/2"
