Huipil Bag - Small Half Moon Joyabaj Black 3 ***SOLD***

This is a huipil bag from the Mayan village of Joyabaj in Guatemala. The back of the bag is handwoven in a primitive ikat design from part of a corte or skirt. The separate pocket in the front is framed by what would have been the collar of the huipil.
The embroidery on this one is very soft and somewhat worn, neckline embroidery is in good shape.
