Huipil Crescent Bag - Patzun Flowers 13

A large handbag size bag with a wide shorter strap, the crescent bag tucks nicely under your arm. Our crescent bags are made from huipils or women's shirts from the Mayan village of Patzun. Patzun huipils are beautifully embroidered with flowers on a handwoven cotton dark red striped fabric. (The red is deeper and darker than it appears in the photo). The neck of the huipil forms an unlined outside pocket on the front of the bag and there is a small zippered pocket inside. Size 17 1/2" x 10 1/2" not including the strap. Note: This is a really beautiful bag with embroidery in great condition. There is a hand crocheted edging around the opening of the pocket and a complex ikat design on the back of the bag
