Assorted Huipil Crescent Bags - Patzun
These bags from Patzun are gorgeous examples of embroidery and weaving. Made by the Mayans, recycled out of their beautiful hand-woven and embroidered traditional clothing known as huipils. Patzun huipils are usually characterized by a riot of flowers embroidered on a hand woven background of dull red cotton with or without stripes. The neckline of the bag forms an outside pocket and the wide strap and the back are made from intricate ikat material woven on a foot loom. Every bag is a one-of-a-kind piece of folk art and comes with a tag explaining its origin. Size approx. 14" x 10", the main section is lined and zippered and there is a small zippered pocket inside.
